7th & 8th Test on Friday!!!

8th: Faeries--anywhere!!!!! This piece repeats itself a lot but it also has a lot of accidentals. Make sure you pay attention to details like note changes within a measure, dynamics, articulations because these are the things that create real music.

Christmas Song--beginning to 21 and 30 to the end. Balance is our biggest problem in this piece which is why you will play in small groups for the camera. Make sure you pay attention to intonation but also most importantly listen to other sections while you are playing.

7th: Jingle Rock--beginning to the swing section. We have spent a lot of time working on phrasing in this piece. You will play this piece in small groups for the camera so that you can demonstrate your understanding of ensemble and balance.

Christmas Time is Here---1st 8 measures. In this piece we focused on creating a lush, legato timbre. Make sure you use a lot of bow along with vibrato (if I don't see evidence of some vibrato you cannot make above a C).
