We will also have two speed tests this week: rhythm and notes. You will have 60 seconds to complete each test so make sure that you know the following:
walking notes (quarter note=1 beat)
half-note= 2 beats
running note (eighth note=1/2 beat)
whole note= 4 beats
IGNORE THE SIXTEENTH NOTE

We will have mini drills everyday so that you are prepared for your speed tests. Remember music is a different language so if you don't practice it everyday you will lose what you have learned.
I will be sending home parent notes getting permission to place a video of your concert which will be October 30th during 7th period. Those permission slips need to come back to me signed by Friday, October 27th. If I do not get a permission slip then you will not be allowed to perform in the online concert.
