I know that some of you really want/ need extra credit so here it is:

1. Conduct the class one day. This means that you prepare what you are going to work on in class by coming up with various strategies to teach challenging passages. I will grade your techniques, conducting, and teaching style. I will take care of classroom behavior but make sure you keep the class doing something so that your classmates don't get bored and talk.

2. Compose a 32 measure piece of music and play it for the class. You must give a reflection of your composition process including your struggles, successes, and how you created your melody.

3. Interview someone in the music field other than Ms. Chiles(this can be anyone that you know including persons in your church, family, friends, etc..). You must ask them at least 10 questions pre-approved by Ms. Chiles and after interviewing this person you need to write a one page reflection on what you learned.

4. If you have any other suggestions please a write a proposal and submit it to Ms. Chiles no later than week prior to the end of the nine weeks.
